I love this place for their home branded chocolates with rose petals, sugared ginger and other extras that are a really special gift to take back.Also, in their supermarket section are some great hostess gifts like special honey gift packs, spice packs and these great mixed coloured spice grinders - all in the franc range.This is one of the best places to shop in the whole of Europe! Methinks not.I've experienced better.I'm a fan.As good as it gets! From clothes to food to school supplies to shoes I could easily spend a whole day here Their meats department looked pretty stocked.It was a nice one stop shop.It was like a super Walmart but nicer.They had a small mall area outside of the main store and places to eat.Of course everyone had a beer on the table.The lines were a bit slow and nothing is in English so beware.Good place to check out.Globus is like best described as an overpriced Walmart.This store offers a variety of things like: toiletries, electonics, food, beer, wine, and other randomly selected trinkets you may stumble upon.I've been here a few times with my husband but have found the selection of items listed to be very limited.Another thing I find a little inconvenient is how everything is written in German, I mean we are in Germany but we are also in Kaiserslautern which they call 'K-Town' which is also known as little American so you'd think that they'd be a little more English friendly but no I have to at though when you walk into the store you will see so many other little stores inside which I actually find very appealing because you can find all kinds of things you may need there.There's a clothing store, flower store, little restaurants that serve all kinds of food like stir fry, pizza, even a bakery! The place smells amazing, but I have yet to give those restaurants a try.They also have a recycling center that gives you store credit when you return bottles! If they're not, they will reject them, which I find is very inconvenient.Buying water on the German economy is too overpriced, not being able to return water bottles from 'American' brand water is ridiculous and frankly a little prejudice in my opinion.The store is already as expensive as is, being picky on what kind of bottles we return is absurd and that made me quite upset.This store is similar to a Super Target kinda, but they can't hold a candle to Globus, as they lack selection , their bread, cheese, deli, condiment and beauty selection is out of this world.Globus opens from to Monday thru Saturday which is later than any other German retailer I'm aware of.I really wish we had a Globus in Southern California.Stores in the U.Went shoping while visiting family in Noitraubling.Excellent products but 0 points for customer care.Nobody spoke English, lucky I knew a few words in german , but lady at checkout treated me awful.Sorry but I suspect racism.Happy not to return there.Decided to try this place for the German experience.In terms of sheer size, it is a really big combination grocery store and shopping area.This place has everything from an alcohol store, and clothing, as well as a huge grocery store and food court.While I was here i tried authentic Schnitzel in between two buns like a burger.The food court had a bakery and a hot food place.Most of the staff didn't speak much English but did their best to get us what we needed.Huge store! Reminds me of Costco.Was the perfect place to buy all the necessities for a Backyard BBQ we were going to have while visiting my cousin in the countryside of Germany.Was amazed on the selection of meat, beer, cheese, salad bar, and alcohol.You can get bottles of liquor for very low prices.I love this place wish they had one in Los Angeles.Clouds parted, heavens opened up and there was Globus! This is how I felt when I first found this gem of a grocery, liquor store, bakery, and household goods store all put together! I cannot do without their butter chicken microwaveable dinner! They also have wide variety of their branded grocery and household goods which are of high quality as well as better warranty then the most bigger brand Said!
