I tend to prefer either straight legs or wide legs to bootcuts, and when I do wear bootcuts, I wear barely bootcuts.In theory, bootcuts are supposed to work on my body type, but in my experience, they overemphasize my hips and butt.Now that I think about it, it might be a matter of the rise, since I need medium to high rises and until recently I mostly found bootcuts in low rises.I guess I might need to try them again to see.Cowboy boots need bootcuts.I really appreciate your attention to featuring a diverse group of models in size and ethnicity.Age would also be much appreciated….I am aware there is a paucity of thesimages commercially.I am so tired of skinnies and this is a good way to refresh my denim capsule.Yesterday I tried my dark wash bootcuts from a couple of years ago on with my new Vince slip on sneakers and I liked it.I have one pair.But for short periods of time, I can do it, and I still have some heels that will work.I never stopped wearing them.So glad to hear they are returning in full force.As an hourglass shaped gal, they are the most flattering cut on me.This makes me happy! Like the higher waist.The ones I saved have a lower waist, but I will probably keep them and wear them anyway.Shorter waists are easier on my body.I have tried the higher waisted, wide leg cropped pants and I just feel a little uncomfortable in them.Fingers crossed that there are some out there with even a mid-rise that will be easier for me to wear.I was searching the internet just last night for bootcuts.AG used to make a really flattering baby boot cut that I loved, but no more.There is an elegance or a drama that that the pointed toe adds to that volume of fabric below the knee, I miss that when viewing the rounded toe versions above.But I have a poison eye for rounded toes on anything but sneakers, so….I am VERY happy about the changing silhouettes in jeans, giddily adding wide legs and flares to all the skinnies and crops in the closet! I always try to keep a pair of mid-rise blue and black bootcut jeans in my wardrobe, so a year or two ago when I hacked off a pair or two to make kick flares, I immediately replaced them.Goodwill was my answer.I never gave up bootcuts because, you know — boots! And I only ever wore low-rise jeans once.Never again! Unless you have a boy-style figure where there is little difference between your hip and waist measurement, low-rise means constantly pulling them up, or at least feeling like they need to be pulled up.I have literally been waiting for this moment.As a fellow PNW-er, I hear you on the rain and full length.I like them to hit like the camo chinos rather than the anthro cords.I love the idea of flats and bootcuts or even wide legs.I have one pair and they are hemmed for heels, though.But this would be much more practical for my life than heels-only lengths.This trend is for me! I loved bootcuts before and will be wearing them again.I have lots of heavier footwear for fall and autumn……booties almost every day! I like a nice bootcut with heavier shoes.To my eye they look like they go together.Carolyn and FashIntern, bootcuts are a type of flared leg.Not as flare as bellbottoms.Baby bootcuts have a very subtle flare.Oh no.Boot cuts.Call me happy.I hate ankle-length or cropped pants on me.I am a fan of bootcuts — I have large calves so they are easier to fit on my body.They can also be more flattering as a result.I found some at my favourite second hand place this summer.They have a higher rise but button down back pockets.I like them and wore them just last week.I hope they look fresh enough to fit in with the current bootcut options.I wore them wih heels but I am wondering if they may also work with flats.Will try and see! So happy that they are coming back! I plan on styling them with pointy toes! Angie, in most catalogues I see the hems relatively short but still full-length, showing the whole shoe even with high heels.I wonder why they do it this way?I read really agree with your careful thinking on this.I prefer to focus spending on things that are very easy to wear.I have one pair of full-length bootcuts that is midrise and really enjoy wearing them.I would like to get a pair of true flares wider at the hem with a high-rise waist and in a lighter color.That is the tough part.I hope that as this trend gains momentum I will see some shorter inseams.I never stopped loving this look, and have continued wearing full-length bootcut jeans on occasion these last few years got a pair of Gap bootcuts 2 years ago.Still need to figure out how to make an outfit look a little more polished when I pair bootcuts with sneakers etc.Will have to experiment.I am excited about this!
